2003 Pathfinder LE automatic 4x4

Started truck today, the truck did not start at first try but did on secound. Tried to drive away but no throtle response, push the gas pedal to the floor and nothing, look at the dash and the Check engine soon, Slip, VDC Off and 4WD orange warning lights are on. Tried again tonight and will not even try to turn over. Just put a new battery in last week.

Any ideas whats up. I live 750 north of any dealer and have to ship the truck in and out by train as there is no road here.

ThanksManny

Just a guess but it could be the drive by wire system on the throttle body. Try unhooking the battery for at least an hour and hook it back up again and try. If that dosent work there is a way to calibrate it in the factory service manual. Good luck

Thank-you

Undid the battery for about 10 min earlier today and same thing happened.

Just went out and it started, the check engine light stayed on but the others did not come on, put in gear and away it went, drove around town (small town town took about 10 min . ) Shut the truck off and it started again with just the check engine light comeing on, will have to try in the morning (or not go to work

Very frustrating here as no dealers or mechanic shops.

If happens in the AM will discounect for an hour or more and see what happens, not a fuel problem something electronic.

Thanks for your help, other than this the Pathy has been great.

Just went again and no go, hour latter.

Dash lights come up but no indication of trying to start, no crank on the turn of the key , maybe a sour battery, not sure had it for a week and worked well.

Only -27c here but the truck is plugged in.

I'm not sure, but wow -- you aren't kidding. I just googled your town and the roads just. . end. . Pretty cool stuff

Do you have another battery to try? Maybe from a working vehicle? Could maybe at least put that to rest if that's not it.

Well, it started this morning and only the "check engine soon" light came on, ran well and had throtle. Drove to work, pluged it in. Went out at noon for lunch and it started same as above. Went home for lunch came out an hour latter and now it wont even start.

Well been a week now, if i discounect the postive battery cable for about 2 hours the pathy will start with only the "service engine soon" light comeing on, drives perfect, if I shut it off it will not start again untill I do the discounect and wait couple of hours thingy. Trying to track down a engine code fault checker to see if that turns anything up.
