Check Engine Soon light went on this morning

When I start the car this morning, my check engine soon light went on.when I step on the gas paddle, even if I push it all the way down, the rpm is still at arount 1500. After I restart my car, everything wents fine except for the check engine soon light is still on.I remember seeing this problem here before but I can't seen to find it. Does anyone has a solution?Oh btw, I checked it with the scangaugeII and got the code U1000

This has been a known problem with other Nissan's but I haven't heard about it in a rogue....maybe it's happened, I just haven't heard of it. The U1000 and U1001 mean that there is no communication between the engine control unit and another control units that are part of the CAN system (Controller Area Network) or that at some point there was no communication. Sometimes a bad ground on one of the controllers can cause this error. Before doing any repairs when a U1000 and U1001 code appears, the factory recommends repairing any other problems in the car first.

My dealer told me that it was a bad grounding of my aftermarket HID fog lightThey said they can't do anything unless I reinstall the factory lightbut they will clear the code for me

But since then, it had never happen on me again (and I still have the HID fog light there)so I don't know what the problems might be
