Hi Guys, i am new to this Forum, and i just bought an 05 Pathfinder SE, i had it for 6 days when i had to return it to the dealership because there was water leaking under the dashboard onto the passenger side when it rained. It took the service department 6 days to find the leak and fix it. Anyways, i got the car back on Monday, and Wednesday, the Service Engine Soon light came on. The dealership asked me if i had gassed up recently, and i had, but i don't recall if i clicked the cap or not. They told me to fill it up, tighten the cap, and wait 48 hours to see if it goes away I am familiar with what vapor lock is)
Anyways, here is my question, on all my previous cars the fuel filler tube had a spring loaded valve that would cover the opening...when the gas nozzle was inserted it would open, and it would close automatically afterwards, i noticed that on my pathfinder, it didn't have this valve. Shouldn't i be able to see this valve? Is it further down in the tube and perhaps i don't see it?
Sorry if this is a dumb question.
Thanks,Joe
