I have a 90 and I do not think I have one. Everybody keeps talking about them and I never have seen one on Mine. I know it never lights up(if it is even there). I have looked at all the lights and do not even see a empty place it was left out.I don't want to sound like an idiot but could something me missing when they built the car?

No, it's pretty much required to have one. It would be located in the bottom left hand corner of your gauge cluster (it's the light on the far right). You should be greatful it never comes on. =p

I am going to look again tomorrow. I thought it would light when starting the car just to let you know it was not burned out. I am the original owner of my 90 and never remember seeing anything light up. I know it should have came on because it was running like crap many times, my alt died a few years ago, I drove around with an open header a few times, do not have a cat on the car, just the header and resonator and muffler. My friend has a 91 and I can see hers everytime she starts her car. Will list all icons I see on dash tomorrow. THANKS

The pignose (KA24E, 89-90) did not come equipped with CELs.

(At least, the basic trim ones did not. Not the ones I've driven)

we post larger pictures in the members' galleries section. Then we use the [img] tag to show them in a thread.

89-90 didn't have CEL's? That doesn't sound right to me for some reason.

CEL is the Check Engine Light

pea,

check engine lights didn't come in my 89 either... federal emissioned cars didn't come w/ em in 89-90, but CA emissioned cars came w/ the check engine lights as well as that thermometer on the air intake box... i dunno about canada models... & verified by flippin thru the FSM
