i believe on my '95 the check engine light bulb is burnt out. whenever i turn my key to the run position when all the other dash lights come on the engine light doesnt. i reached behind the dash to try and disconnect the bulb but it feels like a flex circut. help?

it's highly unlikely that it's burned out :) probably it's not there...
how exactly did you try to reach behind the dash? I don't get it...
Just drop the wheel column and start unscrewing covers. You ll have to remove the trim around the gauges and pull it out. It will flex but don't break it; make sure you have turned the wheel such that you have the most possible space. For my 96 I also had to be careful taking off cruise control socket etc.
There should be a guide in nico. check tech pages -but it's fairly simple.

im bringing this thread back from the grave once more. I have the same issue, bulb is there though, switched bulbs to a working bulb still does not work. have power on the orange wire that related to the check engine light. Also the light works just fine if I cause the motor to throw out a code. So my question is how do i get it to work with the key turned to the ON position like it should???
