yup, could be anything, there are thousands of sensors in your car. Take it to Nissan and have them find out with the Consult III

Find someone with an ODBII reader and hook it then look up the code online. It will give you some idea to prevent the stealership from mounting you from behind. You might even be able to fix it.

edit:I reached under the driver side dash today, the OBDII interface is there.

just a little follow up.. it turned out that it was the code from the gas cap so it was all reset and and hopefully wont happen again!

I have code 0456, which is small EVAP leak. I checked my gas cap and it was tight, I even opened and closed it again to make sure, then reset the light but it reappears at the next engine start. I reset it like 4-5 times and it reappears at the next start, everytime. Any idea?

small evap leak is either the egr valve or gas cap usually. Make sure all your hoses are connected around the top of your engine cover.

IIRC 0442 is the normal gas cap code - 0456 is possible, but it could be something else too...

The code also takes about 3-4 days to go away...which blows...

I've driven with the SES light on for about 2 weeks now since I checked the gas cap. Reset it many times but it came back on.

I had a similar issue too. SES light came on, checked gas cap and it was on good, took it to dealership, they said it must not have been tightened properly (even though I had made sure it was). They reset it, and sent me on my way. Next week same scenerio all over again, and they just reset it again. 3rd time it happened they finally figured out it was a seal on the cap that was bad, they replaced it, and I haven't had any issues for the 4 or so months since.
