hi, i am new to the forum, and my name is paul. i drive a jeep, but i am trying to help out family. they drive a infinity QX4. its a 2000. the code is P0171. it came back with a back with a bunchof different possibilites. how would i be able to narrow it down? thanks for the help, and if this is the wrong section let me know.

i did some more research and found it was fuel system lean, bank 1. how do you fix this?

In any case, you need to start with downloading the FSm for the vehicle.

See if it is here:

If not, you can get the FSM and TSB at:

http://www.nissan-techinfo.com/infiniti/

foo a one day subscription fee of $20. Therein you will find diagnostic procedures. Might try the pathfinder and infiniti or nissan online mechanic forums also.

Have the fuel filter been changed in the last 12K miles?

Sorry, I don't know. No V6 in the Q45.
