Will a Check Engine Light be caused by a boost leak?

The car is a 1995 240sx with a s14 early model sr20det.

Car wont rev past 2500rpm, but idles fine. The issue is NOT the maf. I've still got plenty of signal coming through my safcII.

It still acts a lot like a maf problem though, and whenever I've had an intercooler leak before the CEL has never come on.

Any help is appreciated.

A boost leak won't set an ECU codes. It's just like a vacuum leak in a NA motor won't set any codes.

Check the BOV for leaks; it might be opening up when boosting.

why not go have the code pulled so you'll know what's triggering it? What fuel management are you using?

I have no idea how to pull codes off of a s14 sr20 ecu. Its different than the redtop sr20's.
