check engine light (post hid install)

followed instructions to install the lights from tech help. started to drive around and noticed my windows dont go up automatically and that i had check engine light on.

please help

If you disconnected the battery - try this for the windows...Not sure about the check engine light.

1. Push the ignition switch to the ON position.

2. Open the window more than halfway byoperating the power window switch.

3. Pull the power window switch and hold it toclose the window, and then hold the switchmore than 3 seconds after the window isclosed.

4. Release the power window switch. Operatethe window by the automatic function toconfirm the initialization is complete.

5. Perform steps 2 through 4 above for otherwindows.

I had the same thing. I had the check engine light come on also. I disconnected the battery again... and the light didn't come on again.

I had that light appear as well after HID install. I drove around for a day and all of a sudden it went away. I am not sure why.

i got rid of the light after disconnecting the battery and reconnecting it.
