I know that I can order this O2 sensor from Oxygensensors for about $90 and that the dealership will charge with parts$250 to do the job. What I am wondering is how I should go about replacing this myslef and saving a bunch of cash. What tools will I need, is this too hard for a novice, and where is this sensor located? Thanks for the advice.

You can find special sockets for oxygen sensors that allow you to get the socket over the sensor with the wires intact. Might be worth picking one up.

IIRC, bank 1 sensor 2 isn't bad to get to. Bank 1 is the rear bank, and sensor 2 should be back near the y-pipe.

Before you do it yourself, make sure you don't qualify to have it done for free. If you've had your car for under 8 years/80K miles in California and 10 years/100K miles in other parts of the country, you may be covered under state/federal (respectively) exhaust warranty. This requires the manufacturer to diagnose and repair anything in the exhaust system at their expense (except the muffler). Nissan replaced my O2 sensors in 06 after the State of CA forced them to do so. They initially laughed me out of the dealership when I mentioned the warranty. The laughing stopped real fast when the State called Nissan who called the dealer. If the dealership gives you a problem, call your state's Air Resources Board or department of motor vehicles and ask for an investigator.
