hey, guys, i don't post in here cause i don't have an infiniti but my engineering guy at work here has an I30 and his check engine light came on this morning, i told him to go to auto zone to get it checked out, it came back as P1446 - evap canister vent control valve (close) - no purge detected during a purge event.
This sounds like an easy fix to me but if someone could let me know for sure what it is, i'd appreciate it, thanks

not o2 sensor. its a valve by the gas tank. i think its a common problem on older cars cause lots of maximas get it too.

That code can sometimes be caused by a bad gas cap seal. Try a new gas cap and see if that fixes it.

I agree. First check if the gas cap is secured. If it is, then probably a bad seal and replacing the gas cap will most probably fix it.

Make sure the evap canister is not full of gasoline
