check engine light on!!

i have a 95 240sx se, my check engine light turned on after i got my smog check. i tried to hook up the obd II to it but i cant find were to plug it in.

95 doesnt have OBDII

youll have to pull your ECU out and check the codes, no big deal..... PLENTY of informattion on how to pull codes here on the board, perform a search... if you cannot find it, report back and ill help you find it.

Well actually it is ODB II some late years came in ODBII

If your 95 has an obdII diagnostic port, it is located on the right side, just under the drivers side lower dash panel. It took me a little while to figure it out.

All nissans that changed model designation in 95 had a partial obdII system in them. some of the EVAP system sensors were not installed on the 95 but a large portion of the systems were already OBDII certified. They had the OBDII connectors on them. I think I posted this before but the models were sentra [b-14] maxima [a32] and the 240sx [s-14] these 3 vehicles had a model change that year.
