Code 35 is EGR Temperature Sensor. I believe this is the sensor that screws in the plenum at the same place as the EGR. You can check its function with a pan of hot water and a volt meter. Refer to the FSM for the EGR troubleshooting steps. I had a problem with my EGR system where the engine ran smooth until it warmed up and then the CEL came on and it started running rough. CEL reset every time the car shut off.
You might try removing the sensor and cleaning its tip. If it's dirty enough to throw a code, chances are your EGR passage and EGR are pretty gummed up also. The IAC valve and the throttle body are also bolted to the plenum and could need cleaning too.
Get a copy of the FSM at phatg20.net. Good luck.
