check engine light on... help

i have a 95 240sx, and the check engine light is on, i used a scanner and it gave me the crank possition as the code, I know that sensor is in the distributor so i replaced the whole thing and the light is still on. i know scanner only give you and idea where the problems at. any ideas what else it can be?

u should check the engine

actually that sensor is on the top of the transmision bell housing right where it meets the engine. You got it confused with the camshaft pos sensor.
