Check Engine Light ON - 1994 Q45

i dont understand why.....but i am having this problem from a few months... the light is comign when ever it wants to and going off when ever it wants to ..... these are the problems i feel in my car.....could any MoD's here can help me with the problem....

1 - Car is Vibrating right and Left sometime when its Idle condition.2 - Sound coming from Gas tank sometime.3 - checked it with a mechanic and he said some pressure valve problem and he said he fixed it but coming after 15 days. what could be the possibility..... please help me in finding a better solution for this.thanks,

Well you obviously have a bad fuel pump and you probably have a bad injetor or 2... Definitely start by replacing the fuel pump BEFORE it trashes the fuel pump controller... I assume you use the term "mechanic" loosely, meaning that you didnt actually take the car to someone who knows what their talking about on a Q45!

You can get someone to turn the wrenches on replacing the fuel pump or you can try and do it yourself. It does not require a lot of skill and its not very hard to do, maybe 3-4 hours worst case scenario...

hi elwessoi dono why...i got a new fuel pump and fixed it....i am still getting the same sound from the Fuel pump with the new fuel pump from infiniti.i dont understand why the fuel pump is still making the same sound even its new.????can you plz help me in this...

What kind of sound?

If it is buttoned up like stock, it should be minimal.

hi..thanks for your reply.when i put the key to 1. it sounds like pressuring the tank for 20 sec and stops.. in 50% of the time till now the fuel pump sounds like booommmm like sounds...but its sometime coming and sometime not...i dont understand why....

The fuel pump should be SILENT at idle when warm. my fuel pump is newish (last year) and makes some noise when priming but other than that its quiet, you cant hear it inside the cabin.

Does the noise only happen when driving?

thanks for you replyi ca hear the sound from back seats. do you think its because of the clogged fuel pipe line from Tank to the Engine. what do you suggest methankyou

The first thing you do is measure the fuel pressure after warm up under idle, 2000 rpm cruise and WOT 6,000 rpm............tape gauge to windshield or have a helper riding or both.
