check engine light need help

okay its saying circuit malfunction bank 1 knock sensor malfunction replaced the plug and the o2 sensor but the light is still onbut the car idles fine and doesnt stumble when driving but cant find the problem

if it said knock sensor circuit, why did you replace the o2 sensor? what plug are you talking about?

sorry o2 sensor bank 1 circuit malfunction and knock sensor circuit malfunction

you cleard the codes after you did the repairs right? when it says 'circuit malfunction' that doesnt neseccarily mean the sensor itself, means the ecu cant get a signal to/from it. look for damaged wires/connectors, bad connections, etc

yep didnt have a chance to clear the code but check the wire and replaced the one that looked a littlle burnt off the header but took it on a drive for more than 50 miles so it should have learned

no, it takes alot more stuff to do it like that. clear the codes, THEN take it for a drive and see if it comes back

Make sure you clear out your codes after addressing the problems.

I would check the fuses to be safe because if the wire was touching the header, it would have grounded and blew a fuse. The code for the knock sensor may still be throwing the light. I as well ahave a knock sensor code but its a soft code
