check engine light help on my s13

im new to the 240sx thing. i would appreciate if anyone knew what might be the problem. or what can usually start it to turn on. thanks

First off do you have a SOHC or a DOHC? Dump the codes on your ECU, tutorial can be found here:

Bounce them against the list of trouble codes found here:
