I'm glad you finally got to the bottom of your problem. These cars are too much fun to drive, to be chasing stupid problems like that!
Plus+ 1!

I did notice a few days later, the idle I had set awhile back must have dropped to adjust to the new timing. I stalled out a couple times yesterday out of nowhere while coming to a stop. I then noticed I was idling at about 500 in drive with the a/c on. Too low by a few rpm. Had to bump it up to about 550/600 in drive which is like 675/700 in neutral.

However after a week since the adjustment, including a lower temp thermostat: it still seems to run a bit hotter in stop and go when it’s 80/90 out. But not nearly as hot like when the timing was off. This was an issue I noticed ever since I revived a/c on few years ago. Idk if that’s just normal V8 behavior, but I still think my cats are bad. But I have blue exhaust smoke, so I wouldn’t be surprised.

As much as I like driving it, I feel in the last 2 years, it’s gotten “old” and some days I feel I’m driving a ‘77 coupe deville (depending what age bracket you are) lol. The market has changed their look so much since then. Even 10 year old cars look new these days.
