Greetings.

I've got a 1996 Infiniti I30 that has been real good to me over the years. I now have 236,000 miles.

Presently though, the check engine light is out. My state requires that it be functioning.

Can anyone recommend a good procedure for removing the dash so I can replace the light?

Thanks

welcome aboard bro.

not sure on the I30, but on the maxima there are some bolts holding in the bezel that is around the cluster. once you take those out you can then remove that piece. once you get the trim/clear plastic out of the way, there should be some bolts holding the cluster in the dash. might be 8 or ten of them. remove these to release the cluster. on the back side of the cluster there will be little knobs. locate where your CEL is, turn to release, and replace bulb. best i know, hope it helps bro.
