Now, I know this can mean anything, but its only when I drive over 60 mph, cant figure out what is causing the Check Engine lamp to come on. Also, I need to change the front right turning signal bulb but cant seem to find the way to pull the old out.

Thanks

For the check engine light. Use a scan tool to pull the code. It can be a number of things. Save time and pinpoint it.

The signal bulbs are accessed via the back of the light housing by getting on the ground and going underneath.e with your hand. The socket is off a twist a pull variety with a rubber seal.

On the OBD-I J-30s, I understand codes can be pulled by rotating the small screw on the ECU. Is it the 10 mm hex head screw that goes through the harness, or a different one, I can't seem to find a small slot type screw anywhere on the ECU.

you may want to check me for validity but, it should be a flat insert. dont turn the bolt with the (orange) dot on it. I think that one unseats the harness.

I forgot to follow up on this one.Is was a EGR error and cleaning the EGR tubes fixed it.They were clogged up big time.

My check enginelight is on for some time. It gave me a 0500 code (Vehicle Speed Sensor), but the gears shift as they should and the speedo is acurate as well. Any idea what could be wrong.

Finally today i did get time to check on ECM code (5000) that my car is giving. Now since the speedo is accurate all the times so i simply went on the check the contunity of the ECM terminal and the Terminal in the combination meter Harness. The contunity does exist. Pin Terminals and connectors also looked to be in a good shape. Now i have erased the codes and assembeled the car back. Hopefully the check light should not light again. On the PCB there is one screw missing as you see in the pic below. Can annyone tell me if there needs to be a screw in there (for a 1996 J30 model). Can this be the reason for some loose connection?
