p0011 is a variable cam timing control fault. make sure you have the proper level of oil. if not adjust the oil to spec and check to see if code still persists. if the code does not go away with the proper level you could be talking a soleiod issue to a cam gear or even timing chain issue.

thanks for the help dude, i just checked my oil level and it's a little high actually. i'm going to take it in on monday and let them know about it. someone else mentioned that it's most likely the solenoid because some 07, 08 altimas were experiencing problems with faulty variable cam solenoids. again, thanks for the help and advise dude, it's much appreciated.

Would this apply to the 240sx? My oil was high and I got crankcase position sensor fault. Went away when I drained oil.

I have also seen customers come in with this when they are lazy on changing oil. Infrequent Oil changes and lower oil level will throw this code.

Dude you have an 08, its still under warranty. Just take it in and let them fix it. I have seen one recently that had a bad VTC solenoid as you mentioned.

No it wouldnt apply to your crank sensor. Hes dealing with an variable intake timing value unable to be obtained.

apparently my cam shaft needed a thorough cleaning (according to the service manager). what happend was some resin was on the camshaft and the ecu threw this code. so the dealer said they're going to take out the camshaft, clean it, reinstall it and it should be good as new.... i hope
