check engine and lean

Hey guys, I've got a problem with my SX. It's a '95 and I thought it had an OBD 1 but the diagnostic tool reads OBD2. Which one is it? Now for the problem:The car was running fine and then it began to kill alot of gas. A week later, the check engine light came on. The code indicates that it's the knock sensor. I was told to clear the code and see if it goes on again. I'm also not sure if its OBD 1 or OBD 2. Any suggestion why its killing so much gas? Could it be the timing? I would appreciate all information. Thanks guys

Check your O2 sensor...they dont slowly go bad they just go bad. usually result in rich gas mixture...
