The best revenge is one served cold and leaves little possibility for retaliation. While cheating is reprehensible, what she did cost him nothing. He may have wasted time and money on her, but he isn't left with a disfigurement that will cost money to remove, and still leave an unsightly scar. He's also a professional, and this could seriously impact his ability to continue tattooing in the future. It sure would suck if she sought an injunction to prevent him from doing something so rash in the future to someone else.
Now, she's an idiot for cheating on him and then asking for a tattoo. Just seems like examples for pro-choice all around I think.
It is funny at first glance but the retaliation was too over the top and cruel. Had it been a removeable Henna tattoo, it would have been hilarious and appropriate, but this was permanent. That's wrong. It'll be a very interesting court case to watch. Although she did sign a consent allowing artist discretion, and I suppose the artist could argue the Narnia trilogy was a steaming pile of dung, I think a jury will award be awarding her some big money.
