So I am poor. My current intake (stock) is getting bad, I mean it likes to start leaking and then my idle is all effed up. Would there be anything wrong with moving the battery to the other side where the airbox is and making a custom intake from autozone, I think the brand name is spectre, so that it is short? I really dont care about performance so much as I do the car running well. So what do yous think?

It more than likely won't. You can maybe cut it to fit somehow, but it has a good K&N filter on it. If you're in the US, I can give it to you for $25 shipped.

I would get one off ebay and just get a better filter. There are right ups about moving the intake to the other side but you need to know a little bit to do it. Just search around.

I was having the same issues with mine. That little accordian part that connects to the throttle body was in 3 pieces. After I relocated the battery to the back seat area, I did some measuring. I bought the cheapest EBay intake I could find for the DE motor and chopped that puppy up.

A intake tube is a tube, brand name on it doesn't matter worth squat. Hell just get a coupling and some pvc and stick a K&N on the end of it.
