Cheapest gas cap ever !!!

I just bought the 2007 Sentra 2.0 two weeks ago.while I filled the gas to it. I found the cheapest gas cap I'v ever seen on this car. Black plastic like a toy. no spring, no rubber seal...

please let me know if yours just the same, or the previous owner changed it..

I have an 09 and it's the same as you described but I don't think that there is anything wrong with it. As long as it seals the hole properly then it's doing the job plus plastic doesn't rust and is easy to clean and nobody but you see it anyway so I won't pay too much attention to it. You can always replace it with an aftermarket one if it really bothers you.

s*** just happened, on my way home, I filled $10 around 3.5 gallon since the light was on.after around 50 miles the Engine light is on. Damn, I hope just the gas cap

I only owned this Sentra for 10 days so far..

Yeah, most likely the cap. Take it out, wipe it clean and cover it back. After a 2 or 3 trips see if the light goes off, if not get it scanned.
