did a search and it looks like everyones coil over set up is pretty high dollar... looked on ebay and found some for around 250... I want to lower my car (it currently has eibach prokit springs on stock struts) and reduce a lot of the body roll, so i wanted a descent coil over that wasn't too expensive, i don't have the money for most of the ones ive seen. thanks

Save and don't cheap out. There are some decent coils around the $1000 mark.

yeah, expect to pay at least 800 dollars. Megans are around 900, which have been getting great reviews, kts are about 1100, and it goes up from there. Coilovers are expensive. Period. Don't cheap out.

You could just get better shocks like agx's, a good set of swaybars, and energy suspension bushing if you want to reduce the roll by alot.

But I see that you also want to lower the car even more so I guess that would not help at all.Or you could go with Ground control sleeves (should run only @ $300)which are decent and a million times better that the cheap coilovers on ebay

You don't *have* to go with coilovers if you can't afford it. There are plenty of upgrades (like your shocks first and formost) that can help a lot. Plus the ProKits aren't exactly a linear or very stiff spring. Coilovers are overkill unless the car is going to see some serious action.

...or unless you want to have the best when you feel like getting action.

The ineundo in this thread is thick, and hard to see past, it wont be long before you guys are talking about rolling around without the bottom basement barriers being penetrated in the coilover market.

I also pride myself in giving some of the best cunning linguistic skills on this side of the country.

GOod, well manfucatured coilvoers are going to cost money. Period. I don't know how amny times multiple people in these forums have said it, but you DO get what you pay for.

My bottom limit on puhcasing a coilover would be the KTS setup.

Take into account this:

Are you really going to be resisting that kind of lateral accelration where a good shock/spring setup wouldn't allow your car/suspension to reach their peak grip (IE, are you running on a banked/smooth surface with R compounds?)

Will you take the time to ajdust them? Test them? Learn how various corner weighting and dampning adjustments affect the car as a system?

Most people won't....

the tein basic dampers can be had for about 800 new, and much cheaper used. if you dont care about dampening adjustability, which alot of poeple dont, then this is a great setup. for me, its rough on the street but not too bad. i dont see how some of you can drive youre cars on the street with 12/10 spring rates and still have kidneys. did i mention roads in the midwest SUCK?
