My total cost was $23.77
With these two items, I am now able to interface with my car's ecu to diagnose problems, do the power balance test and access all the functions of those diagnostic programs on my Q that I've been wanting to do for years. I purchased these two items separately, from different sources, but they work great together even though they are much cheaper that elsewhere I have looked. The 14 pin interface feels solid, not cheaply made. The USB dongle could be built better but hey, it works great!!!
I'm using XP on my laptop, with the driver that came with the USB dongle installed, and successfully running Nissan_DataScan_1_52(the newer 1_54 does not seem to work), OBD Scan Tech (Nissan) V. 1.29 and also the free Conzult program that comes with the 14 pin plug. I acquired the fully functional DataScan and Scan Tech programs online.
In case anyone else wants these, the links to get them are below. Just change the xx to tt in the hxxp, since I don't know if live links are allowed here;

Very nice! Good to get a report of something currently available that has worked.
