Aside from going used, what are cheap wheel options?

I'm sure this has been covered before, but due to the lack of sticky, and the lack of results when I search, I haven't seen any definitive thread on cheap wheel options.

I know there are wheels off other cars, but they often don't have the nice offset of aftermarket wheels.

The mesh wheels get old after awhile.

Diamond Racing wheels I'd highly consider if it wasn't for the general PITA they are to run on the street.

Elites from phase2motortrendMB Weapons...And yeah, of course, Rota and XXR

The important thing is fitment, though. Try to get something like 17x9+15. Thats a pretty good size to shoot for on an s13. GL!

EDIT: OOps... I meant MB Battles above, but I just heard they may not be selling them in good offsets anymore...

I'm looking in the $400 range.

I do the occasional auto-x and I'd like to give the road track a try now that Jersey has got a new one. Light wheels wouldn't be a bad thing, but I don't have the money to shell out for RP01's or something...especially on a daily driver.

IMO the best bang for your buck is going to be the 350z track wheels that a forged by Rays. Probably the lowest cost forge wheel you can buy, and it looks decent. Look into it.

(you will have to do a 5-lug conversion though, but I thought it was a good option you should consider)

Well, that automatically confines your choices to mainly just XXR/Sportmax wheels. Go look at the 002's, 501's, etc...

ya for 400 you wont be getting very much your better off save up some more money to get something you can get a nice size and offset combo.

but if you dont feel like saving up some more money i think your better off getting some 350z track wheels.

hey sorry for threadjack but I have really been looking into these lately. I think imma give them a go. Enkei knockoffs

http://www.elementwheels.com/p...1880Z

It appears they only come in +45 offset in 4x114.3/100 lug pattern. They look nice my only concern is my z32 caliper clearance and flushness.

Wait a minute I think these might be extremely tucked with that offset. 18x8 +45 AND I plan on getting Origin fenders with 20mm over

save some money and get some used good wheels.

to me i'd rather spend $800-1000 on USED Works/Volks/etc then spend the same amount on new junk knockoffs.

The only used Work/Volk wheels I see in the $800-$1000 range are usually bad fitting too. Where are you seeing good sizes in that price range?

Until I can afford real LMGT4's, I'd have no problem at all rocking R45R's. Great sizes available and pretty cheap.

I found a set of XXR 002's for $400, but I gotta go retrieve them 7 hours away, which may not be too big of a deal because I might be going snowboarding nearby.

Where can you find RWD specific Rota wheels cheap? Ebay just seems to have loads of the FWD offset wheels.

At 16lbs, the XXR 002 ain't exactly a heavy wheel. It isn't light, but I'm not paying a $1000 for 11lb wheels.

Oh... see keep checking the usual suspects... RBwheels.com, classifieds, etc... ok.

You can get Rota's in tons of places. I've heard of ppl ordering them thru their local DiscountTire stores and local wheel shops. I was quoted $895 shipped for a set of 17x9.5+12 Rota P45R's back in the early summer. I thought that was just a little high, considering they were Rota's. But the where were in high demand. But a few months later, another NICO guy posted that he got the same wheel in a very similar size at Discount Tire for $710!

I haven't looked into it myself yet, but that may make sense, since a big company like them can buy in bulk, maybe they can but stuff cheaper.

Just go to Rotawheels.com and look for style you like. They'll list all available sizes and lug patterns...
