i'll throw in the most common thing ive seen when referring to cheap stuff.

three choicescheapfastreliable

but you can only get two of them. there is no complete package that gives you all three. the cheapest way to go fast is to make it reliable the first time instead going cheap, trying to get to much and blowing the engine

what kind of power are you looking for. that itself will depend on how much youre gonna spend. if you want faster than stock you can go the SSAC bottom mount/t28 setup which would be fun and the cheapest as sr guys upgrade their turbos and you can easily find a t25/t28 for cheap on here. go with an ebay fmic kit and youre good to go besides the fuel issue. you can go fmu/inline pump route, or afc/intank pump route. the afc wil be better than an fmu, but the ultimate is a tuned ecu from enthalpy. dont forget about bigger injectors. again, depending on power goal depends on price. stock sr370s go for 100 on here all day. that would be a nice cheap fun setup that you can complete for 1200 or so. but if you want straight up fast, then youre gonnna pay. jgs makes a nice reliable kit for upwards of 450whp. its only 1500 minus intercooler, piping, and fueling. again ebay fmic kit, deatschwerks for 300, and a enthalpy ecu and youre putting down a reliable 300 on stock motor. if you want more than that youre gonna have to fork it up for a built motor thatll handle more power reliably. yeah gauges and shlt too, but if you source your parts out you can have a good cheap setup. its all up to what kinda power you want to be making.

The 370's max out around 240-250whp and the stock MAF maxes out at the same point. I think the used T28 would be a good match with the stock MAF and SR injectors.

j-z summed it up pretty well. BTW, I like the JGS kit a lot. Folks have given his products good reviews.

I've decided to go KA-T myself. But I want to buy an extra motor to build up, then turbo, that way i can still drive my car while i build a motor. Anyone know of anyone selling a KA24DE motor that is in ok condition? And when you do go KA-T, do you use the same stock transmission or what?

Stock transmission is fine up to 400+whp. Several guys are using it at that level. Another upgrade is using the Z32 transmission. I think Ivan at turbo240.com is working on an adapter.

Lance is the man. He offers a variety of turbos if the T3/T4 50 trim isnt what youre looking for. He'll make a 4 bolt DP for a GT32 if you want. Just get in touch with him. Seems like a good guy to me.

j-z, I definitely wanna hear what you think of this kit when you get it. Are you buying the IC and piping kit too? $300 for the IC plus $375 for the piping seems a little pricing to me.

yeah im def going to post up about it. no i didnt go with the jgs intercooler kit. as you said, way too pricey. i went with an ebay universal aluminum piping kit for 130 shipped, and an ebay bar and plate 12x24x3 front mount for 140 shipped .

J-Z after talking to my friend matt and some of the guys at full race about ITB'S and boost you may want to look into having two BOV's welded onto you intake box , one on each end w/ atmospheric dump.

Don't go cheap unless you have another car that you can depend on.

why would you want to run two bovs welded onto the plenum just cause of the itbs? doesnt make sense from a regular single TB. doesnt matter anyways as theyre already off my motor and up on the bay. check the FS forum and youll see them in there.
