Go for a supercharger. If you can find one...

What is your budget? I'm a dealer for Turbonetics, and may be able to get you anything you need for a pretty reduced cost. I know, new turbos are not cheap, but they may very well be worth it. At 5psi, you won't need internals. You probably won't even need to run an intercooler right away. All you need is a turbo, manifold, and piping. Fuel will be the only other concern. High octane and an fmu with slightly larger injectors will cover you to 5psi (A lager pump is prob. warranted, also). That would be pretty affordable. email me at [email protected] if you get interested and want to explore the idea. I could save you 20% on the cost from Turbonetics directly. The same goes for any member of this board who wants turbonetics stuff.John

I'm putting together a turbo kit myself for my 97s14. I already got a built block with some goodies built to handle 30psi. Check http://www.cheapturbo.com they have the turbo and wastegates and check http://www.turbo-performance.com for like lines and stuff. As far as manifold I dont know yet im deciding between rev hard, fmax and i see unstable-hybrids got a manifold too. Check http://www.realnissan.com also they have a non intercooled kit for like 1900.The kit includes everything no intercooler though and its internal wastegate but thats not a bad price.

collk88 you just got spammed!!! haha seriously these guys want to sell u some sh*t man. I got the t3 from my Friend's 88 300zx but you can get one from your local junkyard for like $50. (well thats what they cost here) you are gonna need manifolds and piping. I guess the fmu, injectors and fuel pump can come later when u got the cash.

For 5psi, you won't need injectors. Stock injectors and an FMU.If you get larger injectors, you don't need an FMU but you will need something to control the new injectors such as JWT Ecu. Apexi SAFC.

There is no such thing as cheap turbo kits. If you go cheap, it will cost you way more down the line. If it takes you twice as long to do it right, then you will actually save in the long run.

hrmmm, I beleive that the 88 and 89 300zx's used T25's. I know it sounds ridiculious, but they spooled fast. get one off of a 84 to 87, those are full T3's. Other places to look for cheapo T3's, Thunder Turbo Coupes, Saab 900 turbos, Volvo 740 and 940 turbos, I am sure there are more out there, and if you want intercoolers, the saabs, volvos and Mitsubishi/dodge conquest/starions have decent intercoolkers.

Just something to consider:It's a good idea to rebuild any used turbo, that brings the cost to about $300 if done proffessionally, maybe $150-$200 if you do it yourself.

I just bought a BRAND NEW T04b (60/1.15) for $250 including shipping from Ebay. Sure, it's externally wastegated, that adds another $150-$200. but if you want to do it right i think that's the way to go, and it's not costing you an arm and a leg.

EBAY will be your best friend if you're patient. Some deals I've come across in the last month.MKIII BOV: $21 shippedCleaned and blueprinted 440cc injectors (Sunny GTi-R): $150 shipped (for the KA24E)Volvo 740 intercooler: $81 shipped (BTW too big gor the S13)Boost gauge: $20-$25EGT gauge: $120etc etc etc
