Cheap SR's

Hey, I just screwed up my engine bad while drifting and I think that I need a new one. Lol. But, replace a KA24e is hardly worth the effort. So do any of you know where I can get an inexpensive SR20det or SR20Vet, I'm planning on upgradring the internals, so those don't matter too much. But I still want a nice one in working order. I'm just really short on cash since I wasn't planning on doing this until around summer.

How did you mess up your motor drifting?

lol... i was gonna ask also... but i was afraid that it would open the gates of flames

I was drifting, wheels spinning, car was at around 5 or 6 grand. Then I started to straighten out and continue going down the road and when i started cruising again I heard a loud clunking noise. It sounds like rod knock. It only happens when you touch the gas. it's like, you just start to press on the gas and you hear it, then you press more or even floor it and it goes away. Then after a little bit it will come back. But it only happens when you are on the gas. It's definitly not a good noise. lol, and I'm kinda scared to go much over 2500 to 3 grand.

Screw it, drive it til it puts a hole in the block...

or just rebuild it before it throws a rod through the block

yeah, I'm not up for ruining the engine and drivnging it until it puts a hole in it. if it is just a rod bearing than that will be a fairly easy fix and will hopefully get done this week.
