I thought I'd give an update on my plug search.
I bought a set of cheap NGK plugs for 95 Saab 900 turbo. They run fine, but they're too hot:
They came gapped at .042 inch. Can I just reduce the gap, or should I get different plugs? I'm not asking because I'm cheap, I'm trying to find a good plug to use for when I need replacements, etc.
For those who are following this thread, these plugs didn't work well:
AC Delco 41-602 - gapped at .6 and then .8 mm. NGK IFR7G - you'd think these would work. I got them from a shop that didn't know what they were doing. I say that because these also didn't work.
