I am contemplating getting these for my 93 fastback. I am poor. I have hubcaps. Anything is better than this.

for $376 I can get the 16" wheels shipped to my door. :icon18

What do you think? I cant dish out big bucks for wheels. And I need something 300zx brake compatable. These "look" like they have enuf clearance and it has +42 offset (yes i know offset doesnt mean it will clear :beatfreak im just hoping)

all comments are welcome

This is my ride, wonder if it will "look like it belongs on the car":

No. Get factory alloys. Used alloys are the way to go...not too spendy either. They will most likely be lighter, stronger, and last longer than those.

..but...but....but 7 inch wide :(((((((((

i was told the stock alloys wouldnt clear 300zx brakes... only the 90 NA 300zx which is such a narrow selection i doubt i will find it here....

If you are poor, why modify your vehicle? Why not put what money you have towards getting a superior college education. Then, in ten years when you have a career, you can buy 3 240's and put one in each of the parking spaces in your three car garage at your $300K house. Just an idea...

It sounds like you've got your mind made up and aren't interested in searching for the budget friendly stock alloys. BTW, why modify your brakes if you're on a tight budget? By waiting on the brake upgrade, you can get 240 alloys. This solution will save you $$. Do you believe you will benefit from putting Z brakes on your basically stock looking 240? It seems that by changing the brakes, you are then forced to get new wheels, starting a bit of a chain reaction, each step of the way costing you more $$.

Oh and 7 inch wide wheels will work just fine. Don't dismiss stock rims as lame until you've strapped on some Toyo RA-1's and hit the local auto-x in full sleeper mode.

smith u are pretty smart hehe... yes this is a chain reaction that has been happening, starts with the brakes... why upgrade? because mine need to be totally redone... i have sticking calipers and no brake pads left. so it makes sense to invest now instead of wasting money totally redoing my brakes and then upgrading later when i have money.

the brakes will not be be bought by $900 upgrade kits... i will be rummaging through junkyards in search of my coveted brake upgrade. so it shouldnt be too expensive. also when i find a 300zx to take brakes from it also will mean LSD, and brake booster as well.

and i am not throwing the stock alloy suggestion out the window! i said I didnt think it would fit with the 300zx brakes... unless spacers totally remedy that? I want to use the alloys but am not sure on the brake thing. (wanted to play it safe with new wheels)
