Cheap Paint!

Somebody scratched my car today.

I got to say that the paint layer is not very thick and they haven't done much to protect it.

When I first got my rouge I made a little scratch, but I must have scratched my previous volvo s60 much harder before and it didn't leave a mark.

Somebody must have brushed up against my car with a bag or something and that's how it was caused.

It's not just Nissan. All newer cars have weak paint and clearcoat.

Nissan now uses a "hardcoat" clearcoat. Once the surface is scratched through, the mandatory water base paint is thumbnail soft. It is EZ to repaint but not as durable as the past.
