Does anyone know where I could find a reasonably priced mechanical oil pressure gauge? This is just to make sure I don't have an oil pump problem, not to install permanently in-dash.
Craftsman doesn't sell one...I've only found this at JC Whitney...

Mac sells one, but it's a bit out of my price range...OK a lot out of my price range.
I'd just pay someone to do the test for me, but I don't trust any shops around here. Last time I had someone else do work for me, I ended up paying good money for an inaccurate compression test.

I'm kind of skeptical too...I'll probably need to pick up an adapter. I don't know how common 1/8 bspt is in the automotive world. I've got my compression issues straightened out, now I have to figure out if my timing chain noise is from a bad tensioner or low oil pressure.

Cool, thanks. I would have never thought to look at Walmart. I'll have to check that out. Does the Altima engine have the same thread for the sender as the 240SX does? Did the gauge come with a lot of adapters?
