SOHC or DOHC?

the only manifold I've found for the SOHC that isn't some backyard hack job (not saying people can't make good manifolds themselves, but a lot of the people selling manifolds are less than quality), is the one from realnissan.com

For a DOHC you've got a few more choices, revhard makes one and unStable-Hyrbids

You also need to know what kind of turbo your wanting before you pick out a manifold. I'm sure their are more manifolds than what I've listed, but you need to have an idea what you want before you pick on out, seems the price from most places is around 300 - 600. Just look around, you can get a pretty good deal.

right now im looking at the turbo boss and the ETD, the turbo boss is $800 while the ETD is only $430, is there a major differance in preformance that creats this huge differance in price?

i don't know whether KMD makes a manifold for the KA24DE motor or not (i know they do for the SR), but those are very strong manifolds, and a great price too. i got mine from him for an undisclosed price, but i'm sure that the reg price for his manifolds are great... if he makes it for the ka. :)

It may not help, but Turbonetics makes a T4/Deltagate manifold for the S14 KA24DE.John

http://www.etdracing.com/fab.html $430

They should be ready to sell soon. Stainless equal length manifold. Your choice of flange, wastegate, or no wastegate.

Ceramic coated can also be done for extra.

This is their miata manifold, but the KA will look similar.

Its just a re-sale of the revhard manifold.

I'm not too fond of the wastegate placement on the ETD manifold....otherwise I really like the look of it.

But, I couldn't wait on their slow a$$es, so I got one custom made to fit my specs. I placed the turbo forward for better clearance.

Thats the miata manifold you are talking about. I have not seen the KA maifold so I can't tell you where the wastegate placement is. When they are finished they will place it on there website for all to see.

Turbonetics makes proprietary manifolds. They may have delt others at some point, but they have their own foundy, and produce their own log style manifolds. They are higher quality than the revhard, and use better stock.John

We can make a SOHC KA manifold as well...not just the DOHC. Our manifolds are custom built, so we can make CA, RB, etc manifolds. Price and design is similar to the DOHC KA manifold on the website, http://www.unstable-hybrids.com Email for info [email protected]

I do not have specific pictures of the Turbonetics manifold, yet. I will shortly, as a customer has just ordered a turbo kit using this manifold, and I was planning on using it to update the catalog pics. Cost of the manifold from us is $450 + shipping. In a kit form, you save a touch more. From Turbonetics directly, you would be spending $550 + shipping.John
