I think the black ones would look really nice if you could find a way to tint part of the middle circle amber and the rest of it red...

I'm gonna buy a set and experiment w/ em....

wow that really does look hot.. never would have thought of trying that let alone even buying that set lol....

i wonder how it would look like with the black housing instead of the chromish housing, im sure the final product would turn out darker overall..

anyway, thats a truely original idea. not too shabby for the price

*two thumbs up*

Ricey maybe, but still looks good so who cares? They don't look like real Type-X lights, but look better than the stock tail lights IMO. And I'm sure he saved himself 200 or more by doing this rather than buying the Type-X lights.

They won't fit those though. The 180sx piece is the same shape as our 240sx piece. The kouki altezzas are slanted, not straight.

This man speaks the truth. It looks damned solid red like that.

I've been wondering what I could do to my tails, but I've got these damned expensive S14 Kouki tails, and I don't really wanna screw with them any, because I know people will pay like $400 for them.

You need transparent paint to do that. VHT and Testor make paint like that.

Well, if you don't like the center section of those lights, you could always buy the OEM kouki centersection. I like them inted red, you could always clearcoat over the red paint and polish, should make them shiny

I have to say, when I first saw these lights on egay, I was so upset, they are actually starting to make ugly everyday crap for the 240. BUT, the way you did them does not look bad, although I personally would never put them on my car. I have the real ones on my car and I got them before they become real popular in the US and I still think they are worth every penny that I paid back then, which was close to $600. Thumbs up for the money that you prolly have in them.

Looks good. I've heard of Honda guys doing stuff similiar to this. One thing they've noticed is the cheap lights tend to not seal very well and rain will get in. What they do is use clear RTV or some other sealant when they put them back together.
