400 is too much for an EBAY turbo.

150 at the very most, and its got to come with a giant toe wench so you can yank it out the motor before it blows up.

ive said this before but, i got a garrett t28 for 290. i can be rebuilt for a total cost of less then 400.

be smart the deals are out there.

Was that t28 bushed or ball bearing, Kalypso? $400 to rebuild a BB turbo is absurdely cheap.

im guessing its the s14 t28. theres no way to rebuild a ball bearing that cheap, its about the price of a new turbo... as for the turbo, just wait and see if your friends blows up lol, but save a bit more money and get a brand name...

Now he's down to 1. And I hope anybody who has more than 2 brain cells knows not to buy cheap chinese junk. I'll leave this thread up for the time being just in case the OP actually does come back to say anything else.

its a steel wheel with the journal bearing... i suppose thats what you mean by bushed

I havent gotten it rebuilt yet, it cost about 290 and i was factoring in the cost of a rebuild kit for a t28 ~ $80 and i know a shop that i will vsr balance it for free if i pay for shipping. so all in all 400$ total

but tell me if something sounds off, I am learning as I go.
