I know these tires kind of suck but times are tough and I stumbled across these on tire rack for $94 a tire. Please no flaming because I mentioned these aren't the best already lol.

How many miles did you get out of the previous set? Please let us know what you think of the RSA after install.

Sorry, I don't have the 19" rims, maybe a few others can give their experiences with mileage, etc.

The Goodyear RS-A will last quite a while - at least in a smaller size, they went for nearly 40k miles on my wifes Acura.

But, all during that time, it continually makes you wish that they would die quickly. So that you can replace them with way better tires.

how is/was the ride, grip noise, etc......on the acura? i have the M35 sport with the 19" rims and I too do not want to have to spend a fortune on tires.

Overall, do you think they are at least a 7-8/10?

I often see these for really cheap on ebay. Might be worth taking a look over there if you're trying to save some extra $$. Also, sometimes Vulcan Tire has better prices than tirerack.com. When I ordered from them I got the tires in 3 days!

An apt title!

Tires are pretty much as good as you pay for them. There are a couple of decent ones that are better than their moderately priced brethern, but none that are as good as the top performance tires from Tier 1 manufacturers.

I can't comment on the RSA's; I had a set of the Goodyear Eagle ResponseEdge an hated them. I had never owned Yokohamas until now (OK last 9 months) and I must say that the Avid W4S's on the M45 (255-45-18's) are by far the BEST overall street tire I have driven on.

I live in AZ, but we've had some big rains this summer and these tires were amazing in the rain. They grip like velcro in the dry, do not squeal at all on corners, are very quiet on the highways, and, with 10K miles on them, still look nearly new. I think TireRack has them for around $150 or so. I use Discount TIre as they rotate and balance for free -- I take in the TR price and Add $20 per (to cover mounting/balancing) and they will usually go for that offer.

WHen the time comes, I will replace with the same tire (and I've never done that before -- always looking for something better...)

You will be driving on whatever you buy for 2 or more YEARS -- don't skimp on a $50K car; spend the extra $200 and skip Starbucks for a month! Your tires are the only thing between you and that car stopping quickly in front of you . . . 'nuff said.
