Is there such a thing as a cheap good radiator? I need one because my '90Q just sprung a leak few days ago. I'd really to get away for no more than $150 if possible with my Wedding plans, there's not much room for Q repairs. Eveezy if you read this, YGM. Let me know guys if $150 gets me anything decent you know of. As always thanks.

Wedding plans and Q45 ownership are usually mutually exclusive, unless she [he?] brings a tremendous dowery or serious earning power.

Just kidding! Congradulations.

Looked on web and most are $150-$200. A temporary solution is a junkyard unit............make sure you flush out the integrated transmission heat exchanger.

Qtech thanks, i've sacrificed for the last 4yrs so hopefully her accounting degree brings us mucho denero. I actually found one in Macon for $130 but i'm skeptical that it'll be cheap and will leak in a yr. Is "oem spec" usually good enough, or is there something much more important to look for when buying one. I don't race or nothing like that but i do live in GA and as u know it get's Hotazhell 10 months out of the year.

There is such a thing. I paid just under $200 for a radiator with metal end tanks. Works great. After installing it I took the Q across the country during hellish midwest summers at sustained speeds of 120-140mph. I got it from Ev_eezy. Not sure if he still sells them?

I've seen ads for "OEM-spec" Koyos. They are generally good quality. The OEM rads are made by Calsonic, but Koyos are just as good. I would be wary of any made in the US (including all metal) I've had bad experiences with them on other cars because they are generally not as good a fit as molded plastic tank rads.

So stay away from all-metal ones (copper)? Jesda I've read about yours...i emailed E about the ones he has/had hopefully he'll reply soon.

Is the plastic ends for the transmission heat exchanger? transmission lines go to a cooler now, does that make any difference about what to buy?

I don't know much about radiators, in past i just walked in said gimme a radiator that'll fit, got one. With this Q i feel compelled to ask questions. nothing goes in unless NICO approved. .

877-663-4631- Moldine Radiators. I bought my radiator from them for my 94 Q45, it came in their box.... uppon opening it- I found out it was a BRAND new Nissan/Calsonic radiator. I belive they ship to other states, but since I am local to them I had it delivered for no extra charge- that and I bought plenty of radiators from them for my Honda customers.

I don't remember the price on the radiator, but its a made in Japan Calsonic unit with Nissan stampings on it.

The nice thing about METAL end tanks is that they can be removed to clean the radiator every 5 years.

Edit: I dont know why I said plastic. I meant METAL. Metal is better.

Are you sure they are copper? I called them and they only had all aluminum which may not be as efficient?

I called moldline...the didn't even show a part# for the '90Q application...No biggie.

I installed today, the info on the .org was spot on. Took it out to 80 on highway...errything seemed good. This was the second radiator, the first one i picked up had a dent on one of the pathways but the company i got it from exchanged it with out question. Thanks again guys.
