i have a 89' auto fastback; i wanna make it faster ..for cheap though, that i can do myself. i unplugged the resistor thing (dunno how much that help, got it from FAQ) ..but what should i get for less than $100? intake or something? if so, is it hard to install? also is there that ECU chip that ive seen on ebay..does that work for 89's?

There isn't much that will make you faster for cheaper, especially in an auto SOHC. I"m sorry. : ( The best you could do is cut the bottom of your airbox out and see if you could get a custom exhaust for 100-200 dollars that's less crooked then the stocker. The ECU thing on eBay is a scam, I wouldn't suggest wasting your money on it. Good Luck!!

You could always advance the timing a few degrees see if you can increase top end power slightly

Stop knocking the SOHC... theres plenty of potential in that engine, and it's simpler to work on then the DOHC talk to a couple turbo KA guys.. sheesh...
