My sister lost a spare key to her car at school. I would liek to find a very cheap alarm system for it just for safety measures. I'm not looking to spend any more than say 150 or so with everything installed. Just a cheap-o alarm, that's all. It doesn't have to be anything fancy.

It may just as cheap to change out the door tumblers, check a salvage yard. It may get pricey if you wanna change the ignition as well.

The Pontiac vehicles have the passlock or passkey system as an option. If your sister's car has it. Go to the dealer! have a new key programmed and all previous ones not in use deleted. if no pass system is installed this does not apply. As for cheap alarms? You could probably get one installed in that vehicle for less than $200. There is more labor required on most of the pontiac vehicle than the regular GM cars to install alarms. Check out the Avital model 2200. Good basic alarm and has onboard failsafe starter interupt circuit that prevent unwanted starting of the vehicle. good luck!
