I found this body kit on E-bay The seller claims it fits 1990-2005(just altered body roll) I didn't know if one of the other members had tried one of these before. And if so, did they have any problems with it? Durability, difficulty of painting due to plastic content? Any info at all would help. It's very cheap and I can't stop thinking, you get what you pay for.

Wow! That is cheap! painting it should'nt be a problem as long as you hit it with 400 grit first, wash, then prime. Then wet sand with 800 grit, base coat, clear. Then 1500 grit, 2000 grit, buff with a 2 step system. There's a new 1 step that ardex makes called A-1 1 step. Works pretty good. I have painted many years with those steps with no problem.

You definitely need a person who is experienced with bodykits. Ask the person who you think will do the work for you what he thinks. I can't believe the price and it's not fiberglass either.

Wow.. I highly doubt its a bolt on kit, i bet youd have to modify it to fit the car, not a huge deal.

Im not sure how itd look... I wouldnt like the mesh on the rear.

Only 15 HP? My calculations were in the 20-25 HP range!

Well, I guess the kit is a no go, I called a couple body shops and they said with New England weather and a plastic kit, a car/kit not garaged could be noticeably different colors within 1-2 years do to fading. "They fade at different rates, BUT maybe my shop can find a kit for ya" . . . "blah, blah, blah" . . . I hung up after that.

I guess that's why quality comes at a price. I know someone that put an original BMW M-Tech body kit on a 1990 325i when it was new and the car and kit still look mint today. The kit looks like it came on the car from the factory. It wasn't cheap!
