I was looking at a Porsche website today and they were complaining about the Porsches going from 4lug to 5lug back in the 60's because the guy had a sweet set of Porsche 5lug rims and a 4lug car. Anyways.....somebody suggested that they guy just do one of two things. Either A. He can just have his wheels redrilled from 5lug to 4lug or B. Have his Hub and Brake Rotors redrilled from 4x100 to 5x100. When I think about it.....that wouldnt be that hard to do or if need be have done. Easier and cheaper than any 300ZX Hub swap I have ever seen. Any thoughts.......anyone?......anyone?

Here is what the Porsche guy did. I think I can do that or have that done to my S13 dont ya think?

If you read my previous post you would understand why I dont do that. I will quote myself. "Easier and cheaper than any 300ZX Hub swap I have ever seen." INCLUDING Z32's and S14's

The 5lug conversion I am speaking of would cost a total of $5.00 because all I would be paying for is 4 Lug Studs.

take a look at the hub itself, drilling more holes to accomondate 5x114.3 looks like it will mess with the structure integraty of the thing. I wouldn't wnat to be in a car with that done.

That's just me. It may not be 5$ but other nissan, such as J30... have their hub waiting to be extracted at the junk yard. Maybe 20$ for all around.

rotors yes, hubs no. i think the s13 front hubs have thicker flanges where the lugs go through. you'd have to drill through the thin part and weaken the hub overall.

two places where you should never "rig" something, brakes and suspension.

I agree. If your engine breaks, you can just coast to a stop. If your wheel or wheels fall off, your screwed.
