Chatter from valve cover (not timing chain) please help

As the title says, I got this weird ticking/chattering noise coming from what seems like the valve cover. It sounds like marbles rolling around in there or something. I had another s13 that had the timing chain rattle and this sounds different and it doesn't go away when I give it some gas. Here's a video so you can hear the noise:

The guy I bought the car from said he had recently rebuilt the engine but he didn't know what the noise was.

Are you sure the upper timing chain guide isn't causing the rattle. If you still have the upper timing chain guide in check to make sure its not hitting that. Also make sure that the guide has not broke

Sounds like timing chain guide. Or loose bolt or something like that.
