Does anybody know if K&N makes an air filter that will fit the Rogue? I just ordered a SL AWD Rogue with premium package, black leather & moonroof. I would like to get a K&N air fiter for it but haven't been able to find one.

I checked at Canadian Tire ,PartSource, and the K&N site. At this point in time they do not make one.

Hopefully in the next couple of months they will come out with one.

I sent a message to K&N to see if they were planning on a filter. Will let you know what I get back. I would suggest everyone send one to get the ball rolling.

Interesting, it's not listed on K&N's webpage and I signed up for notification of new products and haven't gotten an update from K&N yet. No part number listed either. Notice at the link here for the Murano's K&N they have a part number: http://www.thenismoshop.com/ik...11952

Well, it appears that this same filter is indeed already used for many other vehicles. I looked at the link that WestCo Justin posted and I clicked on the image. The image file name is pu_kn-33-2031-2.jpg. So it didn't take rocket science , but I did a search and K&N's website popped up and here are the vehicles the filter works on. I am not sure why K&N has not yet updated the list to show the Rogue, but I just thought I would share

Have a great weekend!

NAPA Gold air filters are available for the Rogue.

I am very sure they are made by WIX, because I have bought both in air and oil and they are identical. WIX makes excellent filtration products.

For what it is worth.

I hadn't thought of it until today but I checked out the K&N site's Cross Reference page and entered Nissan/Infiniti and the Nissan Part Number that's on the side of the stock air filter that's in my Rogue.

http://www.knfilters.com/searc....aspx

Manufacturer: Nissan/InfinitiPN: 16546 30P00

This is the air filter that it came up with:http://www.knfilters.com/searc...-2036

The product dimensions from the K&N site look like they pretty closely match the measurments I got from my stock air filter.

33-2036 Product Specifications Product Style: Panel Air FilterHeight: 1 in (25 mm)Outside Length: 8.75 in (222 mm)Outside Width: 6.5 in (165 mm)Filter Re-Oiling Amount: 0.78 oz (23 ml)Inner Wire: NoTop Style: OpenWeight: 0.8 lb (0.4 kg)Product Box Length: 9.81 in (249 mm)Product Box Width: 7.69 in (195 mm)Product Box Height: 1.88 in (48 mm)

Exactly, I did the same. The Rogue uses the same air filter as the 300zx (Z32) and I just so happen to have those in stock, OEM and K&N so I was able to verify.

So... You can get this filter, 33-2036, at Amazon.com for $13.56 see here:http://www.amazon.com/K-N-33-2...r=1-1

I have Amazon Prime so it ships free, so I think I'm pulling the trigger, otherwise $25+ ships free!

I can verify! Mine arrived today and it fits PERFECT! Don't miss out, they are still $13.56!

Even if you don't like K&N's b/c it might just be all hype, $13 is the same price as a couple good paper filters!

Are these a hassle to maintain? I've never had one and see that they have a "Filter care service kit" that most reviewers say is a must. Is it easy to clean and oil them? How often do they need serviced, and is it really worth it for the advantage you get?

If you debated about buying too long, you missed it! Price back up to $27 now. Congrats to those who pulled the trigger.

No, these are no problem at all to maintain, I've used them in all of my cars. Maybe once a year you take it out, spray it down with the cleaner, rinse it, let it dry and spray on new oil and put it back in the car. In all it takes maybe at most a 1/2 hour.

Ok, weird question but I'm just not clear on the interval for changing our the air filter, or cleaning it if you have the K&N. I know it depends heavily on the driving conditions, but the online Nissan maintenance calculator says it doesn't need to be changed until 42,000 km, that doesn't sound right, I'd say closer to 30k km would be more reaonable, am I wrong?

I've never used a K&N filter. 1)I've read they increase airflow by having larger openings, which can also increase dust particles getting into the engine. Any truth to that?2) Do they void the warranty?3) What are the benefits of using the filter, from your actual experience?

Thx.

1) Yes and yes.2) Should not.3) Except if you are redlining you rogue often, none that I know of. The benefit of this kind of filter is only above 5000-5500 rpms, below that the computer of the car will compensate anyway (was not the case on old car with carburators).
