hey guys, it must be that time in my cars life that its just begging for attention, now I change my oil regularly, I change my gear oils too, but after I parked my car at my work for lets say 2 hours. I got back in and the clutch pedal was a little lower than usual ok maybe I need a new clutch no biggie, just wait till pay day, order one and boom got a new one. well pay day is a week off, and if you remember the problem with my header breaking(search) you know no small problems happen to me.on the way yo work the next day, it wouldnt go into first. I dont mean sitting still , I mean at all, I had to cut the car off and put it in first and crank it up. now traveling through rushhour on harris from mallard creek to albemarle is hell any way, with no first, it was like working at an izuzu dealer, it sucked azz. well my storuy ends on a slightly lighter note. I get to put in a new master, slave braided steel line, clutch fork pivot, clutch and my fidanza thats been sitting at home.......... now only if I had that turbo..................

My transmission does that too. I don't have to kill the car entirely though. What you can try is this. When you come to a stop, you can go into neutral but before the light turns green, or when the other light turns yellow, push in your clutch and hold it. When your light turns green, put it into gear, it works great for me. If I step on the clutch and try to put it into first gear, it will not go in without pounding the sucker in there. For stop signs, push in your clutch and leave it pushed in even if you're in neutral, when you come to a complete stop put it into 1st and drive off, it should work, if not, you may need a transmission rebuild.

also if your slowing down for a stop, shift it into 2nd before putting it into first. that seems to help it go into 1st easier.
