Info:

Anthony (PrecisionH23a) is going to be hosting a honda-tech meet for his new shop grand opening. All cars are welcome and not just honda's.

Dyno day - Highest horsepower set-up wins $100. The first 20 people to sign up can book their spots now and the price will be dropped from $75 to $50 for 2-3 pulls with a free 02 reading. There will be some very nice set-ups at this meet as well as set-ups on the dyno. Plan on seeing a lot of 500+whp cars.

If you are wanting dyno tuning please contact Anthony directly to set up an appointment. You can PM him on here at PrecisionH23a. If there is large enough interest we may have a 2nd day on October 28th which will be strictly for tuning set-ups.

We will also be grilling out and hamburgers will be $3/burger and drinks will also be available.

We have needed another tuner shop down here for sometime now and have been limited in what we had, so welcome and good luck in the move. I may be down there with two cars.

Hey guys, this is Anthony (the owner) from AV Engineering. Originally the meet was for Honda-Tech but has since turned into a huge Grand Opening for all cars. We've got domestics, honda's, acura's, nissan's, subaru's, dodge's, mazda's, toyota's, and all other makes coming out to the meet sofar.

Sofar just on the Honda-Tech forum we have 57 cars already confirmed to come to the meet. I would say we have an easy 75+ cars so I encourage you guys to invite as many people as you can as well as sign up for the dyno. You RX7 guys should have a nice treat with the LS1 swap that should be going on the dyno. And as far as nissan's go I may be tuning an AEM sr20det on sunday.

As far as history of the shop goes, I've had the company for almost 3 years now but I've been running it out of my garage while I was finishing everything up in Clemson where I went to college for Mechanical Engineering. It's come to the point that I finally decided to make the plunge and invest in a dyno and get a 'real' shop.

I am still in the process of moving into the new shop but here are a few sneak peaks. One thing you will find at our shop unlike others is that I keep the shop clean and organized. I believe the environment that your car is worked on is very important. I'm extremely anal with the quality of work that is performed as well as the environment that it's being worked on. Messy shops usually roll out messy work.

You guys can see more of the work we do at http://www.av-engineered.com. I'm looking forward to meeting some more of you guys and feel free to bring the RX7 meet over to our shop.

Info for guys doing the dyno on saturday:

To keep things a little more organized you can prepay for the dyno via paypal or Credit card. Please contact me at [email protected] and we'll get you entered into our system and you'll be given a number and receipt so you are first on the list for the dyno. Again, first come first serve. We will start everything at 11am.

I would prefer if you guys pre-pay before saturday to keep things running a little smoother on saturday.

Things I will need for prepay:1) Full Name2) Address3) Website you are from and your 'screen-name'4) Car Make/Type/Year/Set-up5) Payment Method

The meet and dyno is still planned rain or shine and we still have 75+ cars scheduled to come. They are calling for 30% chance rain up until 12pm. After that it is supposed to be clear weather.

I should of brang out my S14 but that dyno put out some doo-doo numbers. That and all the fan boys who came in there pants when the GT-R rolled up was quite funny.

Btw i was with the group with the really clean red CRX, black CRX, Black DA, and white crx.

what numbers were doo-doo? some time during the day, some one switched off the air compressor. No air pressure meant the Dyno brake couldn't release all the way, hence DOO-Doo numbers. It was fixed, the 50hp em2 was funny though

A couple hondas put out some funny numbers for stockish cars. Plus that dyno was off anyways just from how it worked.

And yes the 50hp was quite funny.

I ended up finding the problem. Somebody turned our air compressor off without asking to do so. Without the proper air pressure the brake will just stay pressed against the drum. The 50hp em2 ended up making 114whp after the problem was found and the h22 eg coupe made 520whp on the following run. The last 3 cars we did on the dyno I realized something was off a bit though. All of the other cars were putting down correct numbers since we did a 07 Civic Si at the very beginning of the day then towards the end we did another 07 civic and it made the same power.

Next time I have a dynoday the complete right side of the shop will be roped off so nobody messes with any of our stuff.

Thanks again to everyone who came out!
