I have a 95 Nissan Sentra gxe that has been having problems with the battery dieing. I checked the altenator and its in working condition, but the battery keeps draining. I checked and changed the belts and charged the battery. Still does not charge up when running and car ends up running off the battery. I checked around the engine bay for loose connections but still cannot figure it out. Is there any common problems with bad grounds or any suggestions any of you might have will help as im running out of places to look. Thanks.

What exactly did you check to see if the altenator was working properly. Because if the car keeps running off the battery, then the altenator is shot.

I took it to a auto parts store and they ran it on their bench tester.

If you have a fresh battery, dude man at some point this will point right back to the alternator regardless of what the monkeys say they tested it at. I do not say monkey in a bad way because I am a monkey too man! Look if you checked the belts, tention, regulator, battery, and all? How about the connections? Where the +/- all go from the alternator to all points until it hits the battery and chassis, have you confirmed all of these are TIGHT!!!!!!!!!! Also in my second of 3 B15U there is another PROBLEM than can cause failure???? Have you had a front-end crash???? Did not want to admit it to me???? Peep this from your #1 Monk! There is a grey 2-wire plug that goes into the alternator that controls the voltage, are the wires in this tight? If they loose contact at points of time the car will run off of battery, then you hit a bump, they get back on track. Check this too. Then hit me back dog. BTW this is for B12. . . . Look below I am building it now!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the help guys. I took the altenator back to the auto parts store and argued with them to replace it. They kept saying its good from there bench tester. Well after i got another one and put it in with a new battery and new belts seems to be working great now. Ill see how it goes for the week but thanks again.
