OK ITS A 95 KA24DE NEW ALTERNATOR, NEW BATTERY, NEW COOLANT TEMP, TPS IS GOOD, BATTERY WIRES ARE GOOD, NEW DIST CAP, NEW PLUG WIRES UMM THIS IS NOW THE THIRD TIME ITS HAPPENED IN LIKE 5 MONTHS FIRST TIME I REPLACED ALT. RAN GOOD FOR 3 WEEKS, GOT ANOTHER ALT. WAS GOOD FOR LIKE ALMOST 3 MONTHS NOW ITS DOING IT AGAIN. BATTERY WAS REPLACED IN FEB. SO BY ITSELF CAR WONT START STARTER FIRES LIKE AN AK BUT NOTHING BUT AN OCCASIONAL MOTOR TURN. JUMP IT STARTS IMMEDIATELY NO PROBLEM. DISCONNECT CABLES AND WILL STAY RUNNING FOR AS LONG AS IT NEEDS TO BUT IT JUST WONT START AGAIN. BATTERY VOLTS AT 12.8 WITH CAR ON BUT NOT RUNNING. CAR RUNNING WITH NO LOAD VOLTAGE IS LIKE 12.7. FULL LOAD IS THE SAME 12.7 WITH LIGHTS ON SYSTEM BUMPING BRAKES ON ETC... FUSE ARE GOOD CHECKED ALL OF THEM, WIRES COMING OFF ALT ARE GOOD GROUNDS ARE GOOD CHECKED MY GROUND EVERYWHERE. WTF WHY DOES IT GOTTA DO THIS NOW ITS MY DD AND NOW ITS SUMMER I THINK SHE IS JEALOUS AND DONT LIKE ME GOING OUT. ANY SUGGESTIONS? ANYTHING? WOULD A LITTLE OIL BLOW AN ALT?

yeah man sounds like it is the alternator again. charging voltage should be close to 14 when running. where are you getting the alternators from, sometimes cheap isnt always worth it. it might be worth going to a dealer and getting a factory alternator if you havent already. good luck

THANKS I WILL KEEP IT IN MIND THE LAST ONE WAS RATED AT 110 AMPS WHEREAS I ONLY NEED LIKE 95 OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT SO IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN SUFFICIENT

WHAT ABOUT THE LITTLE OIL GETTING ON IT? COULD THAT DO IT?

Depends on what your definition of "a little Oil" is. "the technican" is correct in that you should see about 14 volts at the battery with the engine running.

My guess is that you have a wire that is bad internaly and limiting the charging. I would change both the positive and negitive battery cables and OHM out the high current wire from the alt.

Also the 110 amp is good. Just be sure you are purchaseing quality parts. High amp does not always mean good quality.

110 amp alternator for a 240sx? wtf are you sure it's for a 240 IRC 90amps is for SE and 80 is for base.
